Musical Theatre writing team Sharon Kenny (composer/lyricist) and Cristina Pippa (playwright) are quickly establishing themselves in the worlds of theatre, film, and beyond.
Their collaborations have been produced at venues across the country including 92NY, Orlando Family Stage, Interlochen Arts Academy, and Stages Theatre Company. They were recently named 92NY's TYA Resident Artists for the 2024-25 season. Their musical adaptation of “The Tempest” (a debut commission for 92NY) was recommended by the New York Times.
Their work in Children’s Theatre includes adaptations of the New York Times bestsellers What Do You Do With an Idea?, Maybe (both by Kobi Yamada), Dragons Love Tacos (by Adam Rubin), as well as numerous commissions for 92NY (The Tempest, Ice Queen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream).
Other work includes the stage musical In Vain (dir. Robert Westenberg), the musical short Curtain (New York Cinefest, Jersey Shore Film Festival - Winner: Best Score), musical fiction podcast Teen Medium (Best of Competition: BEA Festival of Media Arts, Shore Scripts Fiction Podcast Top 15), and the short film Under One Roof (Amazon).
