Sharon Kenny (composer/lyricist) and Cristina Pippa (playwright) have been writing musicals together since they first met in the mountains of Colorado.
Their recent collaborations include adaptations of NY Times best-selling author Kobi Yamada (What Do You Do With an Idea?, Maybe), as well as commissions for 92NY (The Tempest, Ice Queen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Their adaptation of the NY Times bestseller Dragons Love Tacos for Stages Theatre Company was record-breaking with over 24,000 tickets sold.
Other work includes the musical In Vain (dir. Robert Westenberg), the musical short Curtain, musical fiction podcast Teen Medium (Best of Competition: BEA Festival of Media Arts, Shore Scripts Fiction Podcast Top 15), and the short film Under One Roof (Amazon).
Separately, Kenny’s music has been prominently featured on television (Netflix, Lifetime, Amazon), and Pippa’s films have premiered as an Official Selection of the Toronto International Film Festival Kids Film Festival and won the Golden Gateway Award at the Mumbai Film Festival.
